Ive been to a dermatologist but everything i was prescribed did not help. Is there anything anyone could suggest that has had fantastic results on them? Please, i would like to hear from anyone. Thank you. |

My daughter is 14 and we've had a good experience using sweet almond oil (health food stores/vitamin shops), Epilpt (walmart), tea tree cream (vitamin shop) and I make our own soap. Her kp was down to her wrists and now its not anymore. She still has some bumps on her upper arms but the redness has greatly improved and she is not shy on wearing tshirts or tanktops anymore (in gym class). Anyway, I thought I would share this with you. Mol alternates how she uses the sweet almond oil and epilpt, and on occasion will use the tea tree (though she doesn't care for the smell much) for a change of pace. She does not exfoliate, take msm, or use sulfur soap. Its not a cure, but its been better than anything prescribed for her arms or legs by a dermatologist. The spots on her legs have disappeared. There are a lot of helpful ideas here and many have had great luck using sulfur soap and taking msm supplements. Anyway, best of luck. |

I just posted my own home remedy on KP and maybe it may be a good try for you. None of the doctor recommended stuff worked for me either. Try Baby Oil! It is cheap and it took about two weeks of daily application (twice a day in the begining) for improvement to show on my legs. The bumps on my arms is not completely gone, but GREATLY improved and hardly noticable and I am very pale. Hope it helps. |

Selina, What did you cover yourself with when you put on the baby oil so as not to get it all over your clothes? Wouldn't it be hard to wash out? Or are you not putting it on so thick? I remember using baby oil with iodine for tanning, but that was way too greasy for any other purpose. |
