John I also have Kp Every where and i sweat on areas where i have kp or do not have it that much.It is a good thought though, I wish that it would work it would be alot easier to sweat and know that it would work. Then trying every thing that you can get your hands on and then not even knowing if it will work. |

I have always had kprf on my face just w/o the bumps. However, before I broke out with them on my arms, I had and still have a friend that had these same bumps all on her arms and legs. The Dr. never could figure out what she had. Well I use to be afraid that I would get what she got (which I had anyway and didn’t know it). She moved from TX to CA where it stays cool. When I was out there this year she felt my arm and asked about it. She still has some bumps but not like when she was younger. Anyway, I asked her what it was exactly (thinking that we didn’t have the same thing) and her reply was that she just doesn’t sweat, and it is worse in some climates then others. So I have been really eager to shoot her an e-mail about this but just have not gotten around to it. She could have been missed diagnosed all her life and the whole time she had this. Long story for a short point. Maybe there is a connection in some people. |

I sweat a lot where I don't have KP but my skin is very dry where I do have it. I think it does have to do with the sweat glands and hair follicles. Not a huge mystery I suppose. My KP improves when I work out. I assume more natural moisture is released onto my skin. Also interesting is that my KP gets worse right before my menstrual period when Follicle Stimulating Hormones increase. ??? |
