Sylvie & Kim2 (redness & laser)

My oldest son has the redness on his face, arms, and chest. I have been having him use vitamin K cream and it has seemed to help quite a bit. Kim as to your question about laser. There are different kinds of lasers. The one I am getting done is for hair removal and varicose veins. It only works on the purple veins though not the red spider veins. There is a different laser for those. I believe they use a different kind of diode in them. I am paying $150.00 per treatment and that is a great price just for my lower legs. I am on my 5th treatment and only have a few hairs left on each leg. The KP is completely gone. The treatments are every 8 to 10 weeks. I still have the KP on my upper legs and every where else because the hair is too light and you have to have melanin in the hair in order for the laser to kill it. I might have stumbled on to something though. I use a shampoo made by melaleuca because I have seborhea dermatitis on my scalp and it keeps it cleared up. Anyways to make a long story short. I ran out of my sulfur soap and I have been using the shampoo to wash with for the last week. It seems to work better for me than the sulfur soap I've been using. I'm going to keep using it for awhile though just to be sure. I know that there are some people who have said the tea tree oil has helped them and that is what is in this shampoo. Keep me posted on how you guys are doing.
