What you are actually feeling is blood flowing in the face, and of course anything which increases blood flow (heat, stress, alcohol etc.) usually causes an uncontrollable increase of blood flow to the face, leading to flushing. So little is known for sure about this condition. We don't know how it is related to KP but it seems to be, even though most people with KP don't have it. It seems to have many similarities with Rosacea (Vascular Rosacea not Acne Rosacea) but it seems not to respond to lasers as easily as Rosacea.
