AmLactin 12% Lotion - reviews?

Has anyone tried the AmLactin 12% lotion or is there another lotion someone could suggest to help reduce kp? I have an exfoliating regime but I've never used an exfoliating lotion so I'm looking for a suitable one. My skin is not terribly dry or sensitive so I wouldn't mind trying something somewhat harsh (and hopefully helpful!) THANKS! |

I use AmLactin 12% after I shower, scrub it in with a loofah, and follow with Lubriderm to cover the smell and further moisturize. I also use the SA3% sulfur soap. I have no more bumps finally after three months! BUT, I started with the harsher regimine of SA3%/carmol 20 lotion twice a day for almost two months. I switched to the AmLactin because my skin was appearing too dry and the remaining bumps looked trapped. It worked and I have no bumps just scars left. |

I've been using AmLactin as part of an elaborate "getting rid of KP ritual" which seems to be working for me. I wash with Dove Nutrium and apply nutrogena multivitamin acne lotion before applying the Amlactin. I am also taking 100 mg of MSM per day. After 2 months, my bumps are gone and I'm battling the scars. |

I've been using Lachydrin 12% for about a month now and it has really helped me! The best part is you can get it over the counter. |

I use AmLactin 12% in the cream form rather than the lotion form. I've been using it for about 3 weeks. I scrub my upper arms in the shower and then dab my skin dry with a towel before applying the AmLactin. (if you scrub too hard the AmLactin will sting a bit when you apply it) My skin is now smooth and I just have the tiny red scars left that are starting to fade away. It's great that you can buy the AmLactin over the counter. My pharmacist ordered it for me. |
