i was scheduled for the long pulsed dye laser today but when i went my derm told me that he just ordered a new machine callin intense pulsed laser or IPL and so we decided to wait for that machine becuase he told me that he was 100% sure that this machine would do way better than the long pulsed dye laser he also said that i would only need maybe 3 treatments and it would be 100% gone..... well what i was wonderin is has anyone else had this done???? and what kind of results have they had??

Are you sure it wasn't Intense Pulsed Light? IPL is the standard abbrevation for that, and it refers to Photoderm which isn't generally effective for this condition. I've never heard of an Intense Pulsed Laser. If he is offering you Photoderm then I would have second thoughts.

Yea its the intense pulsed light he thought that the results would be way more tremendous than the long pulsed dye laser but ive heard alot of success stories from the long pulsed dye laser and not many from the intense pulsed light

I have heard that the IPL is effective to get rid of the broken cappillaires that makes your face look red. I have been thinking about getting it but must save up some money first.
