Nosebleeds and MSM?

Just curious...has anyone else who is taking MSM experienced nose bleeds? As I've mentioned before, I just increased my 2 yr. old's MSM to 1000 mg. per day. Her nose started bleeding a lot on Tue. night and then again this morning. Could this be a side effect of the MSM? With winter and all I think it just may be dry nasal membranes, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this happen. Is 1000 mg. too much for a 2 yr. old? I thought I had read from other parents on this site that they give this amt. to their kids?!?! Thanks to all, you are wonderful!!

I've been taking about 1500 mgms of MSM for a couple of weeks. The other day, I blew my nose and the handkerchief was bloody. I used to get nosebleeds frequently when I was a child, but I haven't had one in 30 years, so I'm inclined to think it's related to the MSM. It didn't amount to anything more than a bloody handkerchief, but it caught my attention. It only happened that one time.

i had a nose bleed too!! i thought it was strange because I never get them. But, now that you stay that..i got it after i started taking the MSM..
