question for Kim

hi kim, i have a question re oxy5. i know you used it to get rid of your spots and i believe they are mostly gone? i was wondering just how many tubes of this stuff you had to use to do the job. i believe you said you had KP all over yor legs? so do i and the only tubes available here in Canada are pretty small and i just can't even imagine how many tubes i would have to buy to get rid of everything. i'd need to buy the whole store out! also, i'd like to know how often you used it. i know UK Helen had a horrible reaction to it and i just can't understand why. this obviously didn't happen to you. please let me know what your routine was for the Oxy5. and if you've already posted it somewhere, if you can tell me where it is i'll read it for myself. thanks :-) |

Hi! I used Oxy Maximum Acne Treatment / Vanishing Lotion and it had 10% Benzoyl Peroxide. It came in a 1 oz. bottle. I never heard of Oxy 5 but you live in Canada and maybe thats how its packaged there. My bottle says that it is manufactured in Canada for GlaxoSmithKline. I think I went through 4 or 5 bottles in the 2 mos. that I used it. I put it on before bed followed w/ Lubriderm Lotion(Advanced Therapy). Be careful because it will bleach clothes and sheets. Hope this helps you. KIm |

be careful about testing a small area though. Our body likes our kp and is very adaptive. I tested oxy5 on one of my arms and it responded very well, when i saw the good results, about 2-3 weeks later, I started attacking my other arm but that arm didn't really respond to the oxy. (it's as though it's developed a resistance to it) I don't know if it's just me, but i guess if u're gonna test, don't test for too long. |

Hi Hopeful. I know this was for Kim but I noticed you mentioned you were worried about the possibility of a reaction such as UK Helen's having. I just thought I'd put my 2 cents in and recommend that you test a small area for a few days (as most products recommend anyways) and see if a reaction occurs before using a strong product like that all over. Hope that helps! ![]() |
