I saw a special on a local channel last night with Dr. Perricone, a dermatologist who believes in nourishing from within. He recommends 8 supplements for weight management, skin health and overall health and longevity. I wonder if anyone has tried his regime and if it has improved your KP. He said it helps eczema and rosacea but of course KP wasn't mentioned.

i'm pretty sure i've heard his name mentioned on this board before. as for his theory of treating problems from the inside out, i believe there is a lot of merit to it. i know i've read several posts here regarding KP and nutrition. i seem to remember one guy who ate very well and his KP improved greatly. his brothers, on the other hand, had horrible KP because they at "garbage" all the time. i've been thinking about overall health a lot lately and i think i'm going to make an appointment at my local health/vitamin store with one of the nutritionists. i'm not the healthiest of eaters and i consume a lot of dairy, which has been mentioned a few times as being not very helpful to KP. i think if i improved my eating habits, ie, eating more raw fruits and vegetables, fish and lean turkey as opposed to junk/fast food, sweets, dairy and red meat (which i LOVE!!), i would see not only a great improvement in my overall health and energy level, but probably a great improvement with my skin as well. along with sulfur soap and MSM of course...

Makes sense. I had not seen anything here (I'm new here)
about dairy but had seen it mentioned elsewhere on the web
in regards to KP. I am awaiting my supplements from the order
and will probably post in a few months if I see a change. I am
also just starting MSM and have ordered the sulphur soap w/salicylic acid
so it will be tough to know exactly what is working, though.
Thanks for your input! Good nutrition is important even if it doesn't clear
up our skin!!
