AK appears to basically be pre-cancerous spots or lesions caused by too much sun damage. too much sun exposure can give you skin cancer - we all know that! KP is a benign (in terms of being physically dangerous) skin condition, it is not a disease. it is NOT caused by too much sun. i had no sun exposure in the womb.
