Safety of sulphur / MSM?

I want to try MSM, and it seems safe. However, it appears to be something you have to keep taking for it to continue working, and I was wondering about the long term effects of sulphur supplements. I read this on a webpage, which sounded good:

Now, I also read somewhere that eating a lot of sulphur-rich foods like meat can deplete the calcium in your bones.
This page also implies that too much sulphur can lead to intestinal problems (it talks about reducing, not increasing, dietary sulphur):

This information is kind of confusing, and I think I'm going to ask a nutritionist for more information. I know most people probably aren't taking toxic levels of sulphur or anything, but I just wish there was more readily available, accurate information on nutritional supplements..
Well, just wanted to put that out there and see what you all thought.
