msm doesn't get rid of bumps

It has no effect on keratin that's already stuck in your follicles. so, though it is possible for msm to prevent bumps, don't expect it to get rid of existing bumps.

I didn't know that, thats a bit disappointing, i was going to get some because i thought that this was the cure,and all i wanted to get it for was to get rid of the bumps, but those people must have kp unless they've had this allergy all their life, im not trying to critisize you its just that i really thought that this might work for everything to do with kp, thanks for the info, i still might get it, hopefully it might improve it a bit.

I also have repeatedly said that I use a pumice stone to scrub in the shower--the scrubbing helped to minimize my KP, but it didn't go away until I took the MSM. I also had blackheads on my nose that are all but gone, and I don't scrub my face, so, while your theory sounds logical, it just doesn't completely explain what has happened in my case. Keep the hope alive!

If you've tried MSM and it didn't get rid of your current bumps, then that would be unfortunate. But! I do have to disagree that "scrubbing our current bumps away" is the only way to get rid of them. It does sound like it should make sense...but it really doesn't...at least not for me. Some days my bumps are almost completely gone for no apparent reason...so perhaps using MSM would cause this effect in others... :-)

Existing bumps go away on their own... after all, our skin renews itself every 25 days or so. So if MSM can prevent new bumps, then we would have no bumps eventually.
