I can perfectly understand the frustrations that we sometimes feel concerning our condition. It is something that is not that well known even though so many people have it. There could be many reasons for this. But I am a firm believer that the medical community is here to help us, even if they don’t always understand our concerns.

It pleases me very much to see the confidence you have when speaking (typing) on the message board. I take it as proof that it is working and you are all staring to feel secure with one another. Sometimes however (since this is all in type) the messages that we are trying to get across can be lost or misinterpreted. The frustration we can feel when talking to our doctors can be unbearable sometimes. No one likes their questions left unanswered, especially those of this nature and even more so when they concern our loved ones.

But I ask that you please take into consideration the possibility that there may be doctors or their family members participating on this board who might take the message too personally. Some words may be taken out of context and interpreted as a personal attack. The majority of you have been so considerate and sensitive to each other up to now. Please continue to do so, while expressing yourselves truthfully. After all, that is the point!
