Finally I have named my condition
Good evening, This just may be the one of the most important days of my life. I have had what I now know to be called "KP" since I was ten. I suffered until my leg shaving age when I found some improvement. However, I did not make the shaving-leg bump connection for many years. I thought simply that the eruptions were on their on clock. Eventually, at 23, I made the connection. If I rigorously shaved everyday and used lotion, I could almost eliminate the bumps. Great! - A lot of work but worth it. Then my tanning bed days began; tanning actually seemed to improve my condition too, along with the ongoing shaving of course. But tanning is a dangerous process and with a history of skin cancer in my family I gave it up. Until about a year ago, I shaved everyday not for the lack of hair result, but as my private battle against my ugly legs. I stop shaving that routinely after I booted my boyfriend. (No man around, now, so why kill myself trying to look good) Needless to say, the bumps are back, well they were always there just minimized, however this time they were back with a vengeance. How many of you were plagued by not feeling as though you could wear shorts in the summer. I have had so many comments like, "you neverrrr wear shorts", "why don't you wear shorts", "how can you wear pants in this weather?" "Aren't you hot?" "What's on your legs?" etc. I am sick of making excuses. In fact I am so embarassed by this that my sex life has suffered; never with anyone in the daytime, for fear he will see my legs. This is out of control. I would like to thank the site creators for finally naming this vicious animal and all of you for giving me some treatments to try. My first visit, www.msm-msm.com,wish me well............. |

I too am way to embarassed to wear shorts in the summer. Only around my house, that's it. It's so unfair isn't it? I realize it's not cancer but it's still a very hard thing to live w/. It's serious to those of us who struggle w/ it on a daily basis & over a period of years. I just pray that someday we will find a treatment that will work for all of us & we can say ba-bye to KP forever!! |

Thanks to MSM, I wore shorts yesterday and felt good about it for the first time--except for the fact that it was a bit chilly! My husband has been out of town for the week that I've been using this stuff, and I can't wait to show him my legs. I've always pretty much hidden my legs and butt from him, so he most likely won't understand why I'm so excited, but I bet he'll appreciate the change in my attitude about myself. I can't say it enough GO BUY MSM!!! |
