Handmade soaps

I'd read what Mols Mom had said about handmade soaps and I looked at various sites to see if I could find the best to try. This site explains about their ingredients http://www.davidsongrove.com/ingredients.html Maybe if we tried natural soaps it would help. Sounds good. I'm desperate for a miracle! One way or another we might get there if we keep on trying and posting. What do you think?

Hi Curious George,
I think using good soap helps quite a bit with kp. In the recipe I use I include pomace olive oil, palm kernel, coconut, soybean and sweet almond oil. I like to add shea butter, mango butter, castor oil, or additional sweet almond oil to my batches for superfatting, and it makes a very nice bar of soap.
Olive oil, castile soaps, don't have a very fluffy lather but they clean well and are mild and very moisturizing. I prefer soaps with big time bubbles and this is why I add the other oils to my batches.
My goal with this is to keep the moisture up and the dryness down in our skin. Since we've stopped using what the dermatologist wanted us to use (except for an acne med for my daughters face)and otc epilpt, there is a huge difference in her skin. I don't think those creams helped her kp other than to help make it worse. What works for one may not work for another......we all know that. But, maybe keeping it as simple as possible isn't so bad either. For us, its helping alot.
