Thank you again for the pure soap info. you gave me. I really appreciate it. I do have another question for you. You mentioned that your family will only use pure soap, but what kind of lotion do you use? Do you have any good recommendations? Thank you for taking the time to reply to me! :-) KS

We both use sweet almond oil but she also uses epilpt (otc). Mainly she uses sweet almond oil and sometimes she'll use a tea tree cream I bought her at a vitamin store. I rotate my oils and also use sesame oil, shea butter, jojoba oil. We put these on at night right before bed, once a day. My kp is light, mainly on the back of my arms, and only a few spots. At times of stress or hormones, its flared up, but never anything like hers. She used to be considered severe with kp on face, arms from shoulders to wrists, and on the tops of her legs. This basically happened to her very quick, in one summer, how bad it got. She is clearing up very well-spots on legs are gone, only a few spots between wrists and elbows, the back of her arms still have spots but nothing considered severe anymore. We do not exfoliate.
She does use differen gel on her face for both kp and acne, no oils on her face, we were told it would make her break out in more acne. Her kp is by her eyebrows and her hairline, not too noticable anymore thanks to this differen.
Best of luck with your kp. Ever since my daughters situation, I know how awful this can be. She's had comments made from friends thinking she had zits on her arms, etc etc, and she gets tired of the whole thing also.
This is working for us and thanks be! She is being monitored by a doctor now, we don't see the dermatologist any longer. The doctor would like her to try tetracycline, as did the dermatologist, as they think it might help the kp, but for now we aren't doing it because these oils have improved her condition alot. Brevoxyl, LacHydrin, and Azelex didn't help her kp at all.

Once again, I appreciate your help! ...You know what's funny...My Mom has dinner with a friend of hers once a week, she is the mother of a friend of mine that I grew up with. Well, as it turns out, my childhood friend makes soap! She doesn't do it as much as she used to, I'm told, but she can make it for me and send it to me. :-) KS
