Kp and weight, for me....

My mom had kp in her younger days and it has eventually disappeared, but she is 50 now. My mom has been obese since her pregnancy with me (talk about feeling guilt) but she already had kp. I have had kp since I was in elementary school. Since I was 17, I have only gained maybe 10-15 pounds and now I weigh around 125. Of course, the 20 year spread thing happened to my hips and thighs, but my kp was already bad there. So I didn't want anyone to feel horrible and think that they have kp because of weight. Weight is already a hard thing to deal with, I have watched my mom struggle and heard the whispers from others who I wanted to hurt for saying what they did about overweight people. When I say overweight, I mean anywhere from just 5 pounds over what you should be, to obese. I have read where people posted that their kp worsened or showed up after gaining weight and please don't let it hurt your feelings or make you feel less of yourself. Kp or not, we are all special to someone, hopefully ourselves.
