I noticed the KP when I was 14, but I did not know what it was until the spring time of this year when I was 18 and diagnosed with it. I have a small amount on the back of my arms, which doesn't bother me all that much. What annoys me is the excessive amount on my legs. I have it on my thighs, on my calves (sp?), and some on my shins. Something different about my KP is that my skin is not dry. I have been on and off of treatments, mostly giving up because it was so tedious to do twice a day, and very time-consuming. But now I'm determined to rid myself of it as much as I can. Here's what I do: (any tips would be greatly appreciated)- I use a buff-puff in the shower with Dove 1/4 moisturizing soap. I gently but firmly scrub the problem areas - after the shower I use Clean and Clear deep cleaning astringent for sensitive skin. I apply it to a cotton ball and use on problem areas - then I apply Neutrogena Multivitamin Treatment. - at night I use the astringent and the multivitam treatment again. |

Mia, has this helped you so far? Have you seen any good results? I'm thinking of beginning the Neutrogena regimen. I use the acne products for my face which have delivered EXCELLENT results, so I'm hoping for something comparable for my KP which covers about 80% of my body. |

I have been using the multi-vitamin for my face as well. I actually just started two days ago with this schedule, so I'm not expecting results for at least a week or so. I've used this method before, but I didn't stick to it. But it did help. One product that I have used that helped was TendSkin, but it's somewhat costly ($15 for a 4oz bottle that you use twice a day). I'm hoping that this method will work successfully, since it is inexpensive. If not, I'll go back to using tend skin. |
