KP worse after birth of daughter

HI there

My daughter was born 14 weeks ago and around 2-3 weeks after the birth my KP seemed to get really bad - spread to thighs and back which it has not done before. Wondered whether any one else had the same experience - whether it is hormonal changes?

It seems to be getting better now

If you read some of the posts on this page and the page before you will see alot of women have had this problem with KP spreading rapidly after giving birth including myself.

I think KP is affected by hormone changes. I have a light case of kp but I get more spots on my arms around my cycle plus after I gave birth (and while pregnant) I had lots more than usual.

My little boy will be a year this month and my KP spread to my thighs and some on my lower legs, where I had never had any bumps before. Also, the bumps on the backs of my arms got worse. They still haven't gotten better after a year. I'm still breastfeeding and not having a period, so I don't know if that could have anything to do with it?! Anyway, you said yours was getting better. I'm happy for you.

yes that happened to me as well. after about 7-8 months it started to subside. my kp is worse than before i was pregnant but much better than it was right after. now i am on the sulfur/sa soap, oxy, lubriderm, etc routine (when i remember) - i am afraid i am not all that consistant. i tend to slack off when the weather cools down (but tomorrow it is suppoed to be 80 degrees! oops!)
