Just found this site tonight. My facial blushing has killed my self esteem and caused me alot of problems, such as increased anxiety and depression. We've tried every drug almost and now my psychiatrist prescribed topical robinul. I have sweating too, when I blush. Would appreciate any help and info. A dermatologist I went to said I have KP but there was nothing to do about it.

I'm 26 and have had my blushing problem get progressively worse since I was 14. It took me a while to figure out it was a result of the small bumps that I had on about 90% of my body. I never thought it could be on my face, much less cause the splotchy redness that it does. But that was the case, and now the blushing is almost too much to take. It feels as if my face is on fire during an intense blush or flush. I tried photoderm, but all that did was cost me a lot of money with no results. I have no clue what will help... Some people say the V-beam laser... I'm waiting to see if they have seen excellent results or not.

I think I know how you feel. When my face gets real red, it does feel like it's actually burning. I just started taking anti-depressants, and they do seem to help with the flushing(but not the normal redness).I'll let you know how things go with the laser.
