Toddler with Rubra Faceii

I just found this site, it seems like a great resource. I wasn't able to find much information after a brief search about KP in infants/toddlers. My 2 1/2 yr old has KP on his face (cheeks) and thighs. It started around 1 year old and has gotten a bit better on his face and more severe on his thighs.

I have KP on my upper arms... I am curious if there are other parents out there dealing with it happening to their children, and if it will "clear up" on his face as he gets older. I've been told it probably will because babies and toddlers have their face against so many things through-out the day and their growth spurts and hair can irritate it more. I'm also curious about nutrition and how it ties in...

Right now we are just gently washing and moisturizing once a day (using Cetaphil and AmLactin 12%).

Thanks

I'm a 26 year old whose rubra faceii has gotten worse since my teen years. Many people believe that KP goes away after some years, but it has been my personal experience that it has only gotten worse since grade school. Hopefully medicine will improve enough that there will be an effective treatment for your child before too long. Good luck,

Dave

My 1.3 year old daughter has KP on both face, arms and thighs from when she was a few month old. It gotten worst now- as winter is coming, and she is very stressed and attacks kids in her nursery.. something that did not happen before. I was told that there's a connection between Rubra Faceii and stress- so you know how it showss in toddlers? has anyone experienced it?
Thanks
Adi
