Sulphur soap w/SA and OXY? Reactions?Please respond.

I am doing great with plain sulphur soap, Pernox, oxy, and Lubriderm. I stopped using the Carmol/SA when I started Pernox and oxy. I am almost out of the soap and was thinking I might try the one with SA in it, but I read in one post that oxy and SA can cause bad allergic reactions and peeling. Is anyone combining SA and oxy successfully? Am I better off with the plain soap? Let me know good or bad results with this combo. Thanks.

No, I think it just depends on the person. I have used the soap w/ S.A. in it.I bought both kinds of the soap and kinda got them mixed up because they look the same. But I have not had a problem like that. Buy a bar w/ s.A. in it and try it.

Are you using Paula Choice 2% BHA lotion? If so that may be your problem w/ drying. That is an exfoliating lotion and may be too harsh to use w/ the Oxy cream and the S. Soap. Your not letting your skin heal and have moisture. If you keep on exfoliating w/ the soap and then putting on the Oxy and then Paula Choice, your just taking out moisture and drying it even more. I would cut one out, either the Oxy or the Pauls's Choice. Your using the Oxy to fade, so give that time to do the fading and when it's reached the results you want then use the Paula's Choice.

Maybe you should try a different lotion, A thicker lotion and put it on more often. I put lotion on every chance I get, the Oxy is strong and it will dry you out. Try some petroleum jelly. Have you tried the Lubriderm Advanced Therapy? That's what works for me.

Hey Rob, I feel the burn too. I'm also using Oxy 10 and Paula's Choice 2% BHA Lotion (just got it the other day). I dilute mine to minimize the burning sensation. With the Oxy 10 (I accidently bought the wash, not the cream-will get the cream when I run out of the wash), I dilute it w/ another soap. With the Paula's Choice, I dilute it by adding a small amount of it to my normal lotion and blend the 2 together, so it won't be too harsh. Hope that helps! (I still use the 3% Sal. Acid/Sulphur Soap too-LOVE IT!!, works so well.)
