where are they not??!!!

hi everyone, i think this board is a great idea..at least it takes away your sense of loneliness of the condition. its so strange how so many people have this condition but so few people i know do. so where does that leave me? usually in long sleeve tops and pants in amongst my friends who are all wearing strappy sundresses!!! i have had this condition for as long as i can remember and hated it for as long as i can remember. it started on my upper arms and from about 15 onwards has started on my lower arms, thighs and pretty much on all over my lower legs. i feel like a plucked chook! i also have fair skin which freckles easy and have a rosy complexion. i cant remember the last day since i was about 15 that i left the house without makeup on. (I am now 27) i can get reasonably shy around people and my face would be like a beetroot from flushing if i didnt wear some makeup. people tell me that i am an attractive person but thats when im all done up and with 'strategic clothing" and makeup. i feel like i will never find a boyfriend because strip away the clothes and cosmetics and you have a mess! its the first thing i think ( and see) every morning and every night. the wierd thing is i am passionate about my sports. i play tennis, netball, touch footy and love to snowboard. all of these things lead to a red faced, blotchy me! but my sports are what keep me going and when i feel people are staring at me cos i look so rosy or blotchy i just have to think stuff it! i know this is a long message but it is my debut message, i am going to visit this site regularly. i havent gone through all the messages but does anyone have good remedies for the REDNESS moreso than the bumps themselves, even if you redirect me to previous articles. i think i could stand the bumps without the redness. summer is coming up...aarrhh the thought! good luck to everyone in finding a remedy that works |
