Does anyone happen to have a tattoo on an area affected by KP? I was planning on getting a tattoo on my upper arm which happens to be affected by KP. I was wondering if the bumps would destroy the tatoo or if the area would even hold the ink because of the KP. If I had a red and black tattoo covering my upper arm it would be better to look at then little red bumps. Thanks Dave |

So where he has the tattoos he still has the bumps but the color of the tattoo holds? No visible red bumps through the tattoo? The bumps dont bother me as much as the bright red color of them Thanks for the info Dave |

I have a tattoo, which I regret...I would advise against it for professional reasons!! Anyhow, the kp still pops up in that area(on my wrist...I have a tattoo of a small vine). The bumps are basically behind the color...it doesn't seem to affect the lines of the tattoo, but it doesn't kill the kp either. DON'T DO IT...DON'T DO IT!!!! ![]() |

I actually already have tattoos just not in the KP affected areas of my arm, Im not just getting a tattoo to cover the kp I just happen to like Tattoos. I just wanted to find out if the kp would show its red color through the ink, and destroy the tattoo when it comes through again. And also if KP can be tattood on while it is active. |

Diana, why are you opposed to tattoos? I was thinking of getting one on my back/shoulder. I am alittle concerned from a professional standpoint because I got to a gym where almost every coworker who works out goes, and they would eventually see it. |

I know that your question was for Diane, but I'd say DON'T DO IT because anyone that I know that has gotten a tattoo has regreted it ever since. They say that it was cute at 1st, but it doesn't go away. So if your tastes change, you are STUCK with a tattoo that you can not get rid of! IT WILL ALWAYS BE THERE! Picture yourself 50 yrs. old, or 60 yrs. old, etc... (just my thoughts personally :-) hope it helps!) |

OOPS!!!! Sorry Diana, on my last post "Re: Tattoos", I meant to say "Diana", not "Diane". I have a good friend named "Diane", and I guess my fingers want to write to her or something Sorry I spelled your name wrong. |

No, it does not destoy the tat. You can feel the KP but not see it that much. And he had his(my husband) while his was active. At first it seemed like it was going away but it came back when all healed. |
