My family tells me I've had KP my whole life. Only they didn't know what it was. A dr told my mom it was *****ly heat! I guess he didn't understand that I had it all the time! When I was 16 mom took me to a dermatologist who told us that it's KP. He gave me lotion that helped the bumps. He also prescribed cortisone cream to help the redness but I never saw a difference.

Now I'm 30 and it has progressed down to my wrists. It was originally just on the upper half of my upper arm. It's not that bad on my forearms but I'm afraid it will get worse. So, I've started lotioning up again. For years I just did nothing because I got tired of it. Since it was only on the upper arms I could wear short sleeved shirts and that was good enough for me.

But last year my husband mentioned it had gotten worse. I hadn't noticed until then. He had always tried to convince me to wear sleeveless shirts stating that it didn't look that bad. So when he pointed out that my upper arms were much more obvious and my lower arms were affected too it kind of hurt my feelings.

After I get these bumps smooth I'm going to try the oxy for the redness. I'll let you know how it goes.

Isn't this site just the best??? I discovered it this summer and find myself reading here all the time. I just now have all the products I need to start just about everyone's different remedy and regime for getting rid of these aweful bumps. I have KP on my thighs and it's aweful, especially this time of year. It's turning colder and my bumps turn purple as well as already being red. I hate them, hate them, hate them! LOL I can't wait to get started on the 1st of about 4 different "potions" I am going to try. I sure hope at least one of these remedies works. Good luck to you too and welcome!
