I've had KP since college but after college its just been getting worse. I have been reading on a lot of stuff and everyone here seems to have red spots. While I do have some red spots, its mostly brown spots it could be scarring I guess. Anyone have this problem? I'm thinking this happens only to asians. But damn..its all over my forearms, arms and thighs.

I have both. Red spots are from active bumps, and then I have TONS of little brown spots from what I guess are scars from where the red spots used to be. I have no freckles, and have perfectly clear skin otherwise...just have the KP on my upper, and now lower arms.

Hopefully, if I can clear up the recurring KP, the brown spots will fade with time. Guess I could try a 'fade' cream on it.

sounds like you have a lot of good trips coming up to take your mind off of KP. This winter (pray for el nino!) I'll do mostly local, maybe a trip to Mammoth, but Mt. Hood and New Mex are on my list. No one can think of their Kp when they here the slap (!) of their board hitting the snow after an effortless fakey 180 (or shootin the tube, or shredding through the trees....sigh).
Anyway, back to the subject at hand- I think the mederma (for scars) and the Oxy 10 (for the red dots) have been the OTCs of choice, but I could be wrong. Anyway, it is a good place to start.

AsianGuy, like Kim suggested, I believe it is due to the pigmentation of your skin. I am African-American and on our skin, the bumps appear brown rather than red as well. You would think that tanning would help with blending. Oh well.... Just adding my $0.02.
