Found site on foods to avoid!...Also, Niacin B3 Vitamin (deficiency can affect skin)...READ ON...

Earlier, we discussed foods that are not so good for you, etc... I found a site that mentions this as well. I went into Acne, because of hearing things about some Acne meds &quot;helping KP&quot;, and I found this site regarding foods to avoid. Check it out: <a href="http://www.curezone.com/diseases/acne/">http://www.curezone.com/diseases/acne/</a> Also, someone I know told me about a vitamin (Niacin-B3) that if your deficient in it, it can cause skin problems, etc... I looked it up and found some helpful info/sites on it too. Very Good info. there as well, only I had to look at a few sites on it. (Now from what I understand, you should probably check w/ your doctor 1st. before starting supplements. It's up to you, I guess(?).) Check out all 3 sites here!: <a href="http://www.anrvitamins.com/glossary/vitb3.html">http://www.anrvitamins.com/glossary/vitb3.html</a> <a href="http://www.parentsplace.com/expert/nutritionist/articles/0,10335,240076_108652-4,00.html">http://www.parentsplace.com/expert/nutritionist/articles/0,10335,240076_108652-4,00.html</a> <a href="http://www.anyvitamins.com/vitamin-b3-niacin-info.htm">http://www.anyvitamins.com/vitamin-b3-niacin-info.htm</a> Good luck on whatever you all decide! :-) . I know we've had so many suggestions on what to try or do that it's hard to choose. At least we have more options now and HOPE, from what's working for others!! YEA!!!!!!!!!! ;-)

Thanks for the links KS. But the diet from the first page is insane. I don't think there is anyone that will actually be that devoted to completely change their diet. But I have stayed away from dairy, wheat, and processed sugar the past two days and it has helped my KPRF.

I am new here..but I have been reading the posts and did post a message yesterday, but for some reason its at the end of all the messages...my son is 14 years old and has been told that he has uleryrthema oophorygenes by one dermatologist, and was told by 2 others that he did not!!!! Anyway his face is red and the third dermatologist who works at a laser center told him to start using vitamin c serum(sold at the laser center for $90 a bottle)...but he also prescribed nicomide tablets..one pill twice a day...Nicomide is a new prescription medication usually ordered to decrease the redness of acne...It contains nicotinomide, zinc and folic acid..my son used the serum and the pills for a few months, and i thought that there was a slight improvement, but he didnt....

Strange how some things work for some and not for others, huh. I feel there's got to be an internal link to KP as well as being inherited. Who knows, I wish there was a CURE!!!
