Help for people with dry skin and KP

Hi there,
I have KP for more than 17 years now, I have it on my legs, my arms and my back. Especially in winter times it is getting more worse than it is in summer times. I think my problem is that my skin is too try and that causes the KP. But for 3 months I am trying the following which has improved the KP totally:
I am using EUCERIN shower oil for dry skin, after showering I dry my skin very gently with a towel, so that it is still a bit wet. Then I apply sesame oil (from the pharmacy). Since that time my skin is much smoother and the red bumps are nearly invisible. Maybe it will help you as well.
It should be worth trying it if you have dry skin and KP.

Thanks! I have very dry skin too, and my KP is really bad (mostly on my torso, arms, and back). My biggest issue with it is the red dots! I have them EVERYWHERE! Everywhere there's a hair follicle, I have the dots. My skin has the "chicken skin" look. People think that I have goose bumps, (or a rash) all the time, so I know mine is noticable. I still wear what I want though (sleeveless shirts, skirts, shorts, etc...) I don't really acknowledge people when they say "are you cold", etc... My skin also has the "purple" look too. I'm just optomistic that something that works for some of you, will do the same for me. Thanks for sharing. I want my red dots gone in addition to the KP "bumps" that I have. I just want (& have always wanted) pretty skin that I can be happy about.

Originally posted by KS, have you tried this?

I also have red surrounding the follicles although that is isolated to my thighs. I have the bumps all over my arms though. I think the Neutregena(pardon my spelling, I also trying to watch my baby, here), acne vitamin treatment has decreased the redness. I'm trying many things right now because it got SO much worse after I had my son. I really think though, that has helped the redness.

And yes, I hate the "you must be cold" comments too. Or even better, "something has bitten you all over you arms" if I have been picking.

No, I haven't tried the Neutrogena treatment you're refering to. But, it sounds close to one of the products mentioned in an editorial I'd read on someone with KP (GOOD READ). I posted it up above, so you might want to check it out. It's under "Highly Recommended"... She mentions an even better product to try. Thanks for your response. :-)
