hi everyone, months and months and mnths ago i came here and the site wasn't up yet and i kept checking back every few weeks and it was never up and i forgot about it until yesterday but wow! here it is! and here you are all...so hi! it's really nice to find a board like this and from what i've read you all sound very nice and helpful, so...thanks. im just going through all the posts on the message boards so i will just add my two cents so far by listing things ive tried and how well they have/ have not worked Lac-hydrin : blech. made things worse. probably the mineral oil every over the counter moisturizer from cvs: terribly almost everything in the us is full of some petrolatum type thing retin a: sort of worked well for a while, but was too expensive and made my arm bright red and itchy carmol 20: okay carmol 40: pretty good keralyt: not at all some fancy peter thomas roth stuff: not so well tend skin: actually gave me a horrible burn which im STILL scarred from almost two years later differin gel: worked alright, but they never want to prescribe youa big enough tube to last for more than a few days .... argh. i can think of many more things ive tried with little to moderate success but im going to stop listing them now because this is just getting depressing..... okay. here's whwat i DO use now, which, doesn't work perfectly , but works much better than some of the other thigns ive tried.... scrubby sisal mit thing (looks like a big mitten): the "cheap" sisal tings seem to work better on me because they're rougher...got mine at CVS...they are usually out of stock for some reason clean and clear body clear shower gel: comes in a purprle bottle. smells nice. zia ultimate body moisture: sort of expensive , smells very very nice, no clogging ingrediants (so far as i can tell), (contains glycolic acid i think...dont have the bottle with me socant check the ingrediants) .....got this from a organic market type place..... sadly the BEST thing i've EVER used was a product vaseline madea long time ago called "pretty legs and feet" and it came in a purple bottle and they stopped making it a long time ago and the "new" version of the product is full of things that will made a person break out. oh well. anyway, just wanted to say hello and all that. in case anyone was wondering im a 24 year old female, bad kp that ive picked at horribly for as long as i can remember. take care and have a nice sunday everyone, i look forward to being a part of this community -becca |
