Maybe it's a reaction to something I've eaten...I can't explain it. It especially happens if I'm sitting at home without a top on. Any bare skin becomes itchy...strange |

Sometimes if my skin is really really parched, it will itch but as a rule of thumb kp is not an itchy condition. From the way that you explained how it comes and goes sporadically accompianied by a rash sounds to me a lot like an allergic reaction to something. Have you just recently moved? Changed your detergent? Air freshener? Carpets? Soap? Do you have a lot of stress in your life right now? Mel |

That's what I was going to say, it may be particles in the air, all sorts of things. I swiched to using Cheer Free liquid detergent and I notice my skin doesn't seem as irritable at times. Especially on my legs (of course have been wearing pants all summer) I have been using tea tree oil soap-all natural- and Dove Nutrium, switch each shower. Also be sure to check your air filter on your air system. In my mom's house they never checked it and I think some of my problems came from that. I have been in my house for a year, and we bought the filter you can wash to clean and put back. We clean it every 3 months and I have seen improvement on allergies, breathing, and my skin doesn't seem as irritated (before switching soaps). Good Luck! |

There is one spot on my belly that itches and that's it (stange huh). I have KP all over but my torso/belly is the worst for some reason (the place with the most bumps!). My skin is always so dry and almost dehydrated like. |

it sounds like you have some sort of contact dermatitis as well. us Kpers are very succeptable to it. be careful, however, b/c we are also very succeptable to eczema. my cd turned into chronic eczema due to lack of competent medical care (ie the dermatologists at loma linda UMC are morons so is DrSoeprono- he is only in it to screw your med insurance- anyone in the area...beware!) |

yes. My derm says KP is a type of skin allergy. Take Zyrtec. The itching will stop, redness will go away. |
