sulfursoap.com has a new SA/sulfur soap

Hi all, I'm new to this board and have been lurking around reading all of your posts for a couple weeks. Anyway I have had KP mainly on my upper arms since I was 9 or 10. I've tried treating it off and on since I was a teenager and have only recently decided that I MUST do something about it. I'm getting married at the end of December and have bought a strapless gown! Am I crazy or what?!! Except for my KP the dress does look good and my mom says I notice it more than anyone else, but I've decided to be proactive in finding a solution before my wedding! Anyway, I had read a few posts about the sulfur soap as part of your treatment. So, I just went to the website and bought a new soap that they make that also has SA in it. It even says that it specifically treats KP. So, I thought why not. I'm already using Carmol 40 which has urea in it. I only use it once a day after I shower. However, after reading all of your posts I think I'll try it 2 times a day now and will combine that with the sulfur/SA soap when it comes in. I am also so happy to have found this site. I've been so self concious about KP my entire life and to know there are so many others out there to talk to is very helpful. I wish you all good luck in your battle. I'll let you know if my combination works! Texgal |

I got married this past June and I too wore a strapless dress. I didn't have much time before the wedding, but I made time to go to the tanning bed 4 times before the wedding and it helped out a good bit. Tthe only pictures you can tell anything are the 10 x 10's in my wedding album. The smaller pictures actually looked great and my arms didn't look that red. I went to the MAC makeup counter and finally found concealer that conceals! I am extremely fair and have the typical blue circles under my eyes. I bought concealer and foundation from them, about the same price as other makeup counters (Clinique anyway). So I would think their body concealer could work wonders for your big day! |

congrats on your upcoming wedding! i have kp on my upper arms too (who doesn't) and i also had a strapless wedding gown. my advice- do what you can (whatever works for you) to get rid of the bumps. the redness - MAC makes a body concealer. Or if you want to go the cheaper route, Facefinity by Max Factor (? i think?) is supposed to be smudgeproof foundation. Actually, I slept IN (can you believe it) with a morning wedding and did not have time to worry about my arms. The bumps were minimal at that time (thank goodness) and as for the redness- I have splotches all over and believe it or not it did NOT show up on my wedding pictures. try having a picture taken with a sleeveless shirt at least 4-5 feet away in natural light and see what your arms look like. don't worry about your guests- they concentrate on three things: 1) the high pro glo (and HUGE smile) on your face 2) your hairstyle and 3) The Ring! :0) |
