Glytone Keratosis Pilaris Kit

Hi. I am new to this board and have been reading all of the posts over the past few days. I decided to purchase the Glytone Keratosis Pilaris Kit from dermstore.com. It has the body wash, body lotion, and body puff. The active ingredient (for PK benefit) is the glycolic acid. A few people have mentioned trying it and it seemed to help. If you read over the posts, there are many different options for you to try. I am very lucky that my PK condition is only on the backs of my upper arms, and that it is a fairly mild case--not covering whole area. Also, when I went to dermstore.com to order this, I did not see information for the percentage of glycolic acid in the products. Therefore, I called dermstore.com and was told that the body wash has 8.8% and the body lotion has 17.5%. I then went to another site given by postings here, skincarerx.com, and they listed the kit also, but their site only states that the body lotion has 20% glycolic acid. ?? To clarify this, I called skincarerx.com and was told that the body wash has 12% glycolic acid and the body lotion has 20% glycolic acid. Strange, right?, being the same product. Both companies told me that there is only 1 Glytone PK Kit, not muliple versions or anything. Well, now I called the Glytone company (got number from website) and asked them. They informed me that their one and only PK kit has a body wash with 8.8% glycolic acid and a body lotion with 17.5% glycolic acid--the information given by the kit at dermstore.com. I also asked them about the products advertised by skincarerx.com and was told that Glytone does not make a body wash with 12% nor a body lotion with 20% glycolic acid, and that skincarerx.com must be misadvertising. Very strange...I ended up going back to dermstore.com and ordering from them. For those of you that have these products, does it state on the bottles what percent glycolic acid that it has? |

Hi. Yes, I have been using it since Monday night--and it is already making a difference! My arms were starting to get worse from this Morning Glow product that I was using (too much oil in it, I think), but once I started using the glytone products, it is starting to clear up again and my arms are definitely smoother. I have not (not that I noticed anyway) gotten any new bumps and the ones that I already had are getting better. I have been using the body wash (with puff) and lotion at night and in the morning. Since I only need it on the backs of my arms, it seems like these products will last forever. Let me know how your treatment is going, and I'll keep you updated on mine. Here is my work email if anyone wants to direct questions straight to me: dusty.mckinnon@pentagon.af.mil |
