Salon Facial Experience

I had my first ever Salon facial on Friday and quite enjoyed it. It was a Thalgo Cool Marine Facial. When they mix together the ingredients for the face mask it creates a chain reaction which makes it feel very cool on the face. It has things like menthol, mint and camphor as well as some ingredients for redness which may have included horse chestnut.

If you have very reactive/flush-prone skin, you may have to ask the beautician to go a little easier when she is rubbing your face and exfoliating any dead skin. She said my skin was in excellent condition, which was nice. I guess that's true - I am fortunate never to have to worry about pimples or bumps - just the ever present redness and flushing.

I have been doing some research on the Net, and have found a few other facial treatments which look like they might help. The next one I am going to try is called Darphin Intral. Here's what it says - "soothing and calming, this facial helps to constrict and strengthen the capillaries. Will desensitise a hot, flushed and couperose skin leaving it cool and hydrated." If it does half of what it says then it could be very interesting! I'll report back after I have it. Kim - how was your facial today? Did you get any more info about the products that help calm your redness? I think this is a route worth exploring for any of us with these facial problems but don't expect miracles and it may take a while to find the best one.

hey rick- glad to hear you digged on the facial experience. let me know how your skin turns out after 24 hours (the true test). i responded yesterday down below on your first spa facial post with everything i have. actually, i went for a massage today. my back was killing me so i opted out of the facial and did a deep tissue massage. anyway, again, check out my 9-13 post below.
also, my massage therapist gave me a bottle of gel scrub by decleor. she said it would help the kp on my arms. keep you all posted on that.
