an alternative to steam room

I see a lot of people have reported good results from steam room. I'm wondering if boiling water in a pot and holding our arms over the steam (from the boiling water) (not too close though) would do the same trick? haha, sounds kinda dumb i know. But seriously, I would do ANYTHING if i knew it would get rid of my KP! What do u think about that idea? Is it even worth giving it a shot?

Steaming your arms over a pot of boiling water might not yield the best results. The sauna probably works due to the moist steam and the length of time you sit in it. However, you might be able to simulate this by using a method of creating a steam room at home. My doctor taught me this when I had a terrible bout of bronchitis.
-Go into the bathroom and close the door.
-Turn on only the hot water (not a trickle, fullstrength)and allow it to run for about 20 minutes. It was a great help with the bronchitis and may just be a good at home sauna.
