I have tried everything from moistureizers, to Lac-Hydrin prescription lotion, to exfoliating. No relief. Still get those bumps filled with dead skin. Can someone please help me understand what the Carmol treatment is? Do you need a prescription? Thank you, Bob |

The sa/carmol 20 treatment is a mixture that was given to Brynns mom from the Derm. Dept at the University of Mass. to help relieve her daughter of KP. It is a mixture of 1/10 oz (or 2.7 grams) of Salicylic Acid (SA) in powder or liquid (the liquid is actually wart remover). The SA is mixed with 1/2 oz of distilled (or boiled) water. Once those ingredients are mixed together then you inject it into a tube of Carmol 20. The carmol 20 is sold over the counter in the pharmacy at most stores. I got my Carmol 20 at Walgreens. I had to get a presciption for the SA powder (I did not use the wart remover). Some people had success getting the SA powder from Medichest.com. I mixed mine myself. You can have a pharmacy mix it for you but in my case they wanted a prescription for the mixture. You can get that from your doctor. I put it on after I took a shower and let it sit on my skin for about 5 minutes then I lightly scrubbed with a slightly damp loffa sponge but I did not rinse it off. It took almost 4 weeks before I saw results but it was worth the wait. My skin actually got worse before it got better. My skin now looks about 80-90% better. It's not a cure but it did help me. Hope that helps, Good Luck if you try it. Cris!!! |

How much SA mixture do you put into the Carmol 20? Also, does Carmol 20 only come in one size? |
