that must have been a goof and they meant 5% (not 50%) - 50% would probably give you a good burn! |

i saw the website. the highest level of glycolic acid was 14% (in the body cleanser & body shampoos), but nothing near 50% glycolic acid was included in any product. |

I used this product called Glytone for a while. It contained 18% glycolic acid. It came in a wash & lotion combo. I ordered it from dermadoctor.com for about $30. I had minimal results. My bumps did get less bumpy, but the redness stayed. I have never heard of a 50% concentration. That sounds too high to be safe for your skin. |

The 50 % glycolic acid does exist. I ordered a bottle from Larachem, a canadian company. It's a glycolic peel that's meant for professional use only, but they sell it on the net. (I think it's www.larachem.com if not, just look up Larachem in google or altavista and you will find it). I can't tell you the results because I haven't tried it. Shortly after I received it, I've read over and over again to avoid high concentration peels at all costs on black skin because of hyperpigmentation and a dermatologist told me the same thing recently (Again, money wasted for me...) It might help some of you. It's supposed to be helpful for severe cases. |
