Carla, I just read your post & I am so happy that the mixture is working for you.It gives me hope. I would be so grateful if you could answer a few questions for me because I think I'm going to try using it again. I tried it for 2 weeks but then quit because my KP got so bad. 1.) My RX on the container reads:3% Salicylic acid in Carmol 20/85MG-Is this the correct mixture? 2.)Is your mixture quite watery? mine sure is. 3.)Do you apply once or twice a day? I would really like to give this stuff another chance but I would like your input. Thanx in advance!! Oh, also, did your KP get worse in the beginning?

Hi Gidge, Yes, my mixture is watery but to say how watery I can only describe it this way : I can stir it up with my finger like a creamy soup and when I pull my finger out the mixture has coated it and the mixture does not run off. (my pharmacist did not mix any water with the SA powder.) To answer your other questions .. My KP did not get worse. In fact, it got better within days. I have been inconsistant with the applications in that sometimes I have used it 2 times per day and sometimes once. I have not used the loofa every day either. I like to rub my skin post shower with a towel a few times per week and use loofa occasionally. If you are easily irritated I would go easy in the begining. My RX bottle doesn't say exactly what yours does but it is 3% SA because that's what the pharmacist was instructed to mix by my doctor. I really hope it works for you!!
