My skin is very fair and extremely dry where my KP is, which is fairly inflammatory and extensive, i.e. it's all over my thighs past my knees, upper arms down past the elbows as well as hips and buttocks. Using the 15% and 30% urea creams smooths my bumps somewhat and definitely helps my dry skin, but my skin improves only to a certain point and then the KP just goes somewhere else. I presume this is because I can only control the problem externally with topical treatments, while the body still continues to over-produce keratin. By the way, I haven't found that urea creams help particularly with the redness but everyone's KP is different and what might not work for one person can work for another (and vice versa of course).
