Hi Ryan, I really didn't do much about it, it went
away over time. One thing that might have helped
was, I tried to totally ignore the situation because
the more I thought about it the more I got stressed and
depressed and the more I was under stress about it
the more I got it, so, I think may be that helped it too.
Sorry I couldn't be more of a help. I think I am lucky not to
have it on my face anymore,
but I still have it on my legs and arms, thanks to
this forum I learned a lot and I am taking care
of the bumps but the redness is there no luck for
that yet, hopefully we will find something to take
care of it. When I browsed the internet to find
Info. On KP, the suggestion for treating KP is
TREATMENT IS NOT NECCESSERY, and I always
say who are you people to say treatment is not
necessary, I've been suffering all my life from
these little monsters, who are you say treatment
is not necessary. I am sorry I got carried away I
guess I am just tired of dealing with KP and the
feeling that there is no cure bugs me the most
and nobody 's (researchers derms..) doing anything,
just because they think TREATMENT IS NOT NESSECCERY.

Hey thanks a lot for replying. You know you might be right. If we try to ignore it then it might go away like that. But I would be so happy if somehow I could just figure out how to fix the problem with the redness on my face. It's really hard to do things knowing that your face is flushed and really red almost all the time. But thanks again.

Re: To afi about red cheeks - Definition of RUBRA FACEII

Hi everyone. There seems to be a lot of confusion here about what exactly is Keratosis Pilaris Rubra Faceii. Some people believe that anyone with KP on their arms or legs who also has a problem with blushing and flushing must have a separate problem of Rosacea. I believe this is false. "Rubra Faceii" is Latin for "Red Face". So the definition of Keratosis Pilaris Rubra Faceii is someone who has KP but also has a chronically red face. According to the Doctor who diagnosed me with this condition, a very small percentage of people with standard KP also have the Red Face condition which causes chronic flushing and some permanent redness. Let me stress that many of us with the red face DO NOT have KP pimples on our faces. Other folks can have the KP pimples on their faces but don't necessarily have the blushing/flushing problem. And to make matters more complicated, if you have regular KP and you have blushing/flushing and your eyebrows are effected by the KP pimples (hair loss of outer third) that is called Ulerythema Ophyrogenes. (sorry about the big chunk of text - for some reason this message board doesn't support paragraps!) Hope this is helpful, Rick

Hey Rick, it sounds like we have pretty much the same exact thing. I have kp on my legs and arms and also the red face to go along with it. I don't have any of the kp bumps on my face just constant flushing/blushing. My eyebrows are also affected as they also red a lot. But thanks a lot. It is helpful to know that someone has almost the exact same thing I have. I've been trying to find out info about this for a long time and this website has really helped out a lot.
