From what I have read, you shouldn't use anything with chemicals on children under 12 or so. if you could maybe find a reg otc lotion to use on the baby, but definitely check with your pediatrician before using anything your child. As far as any side effects for you, I don't see how it could harm you unless you sniff the heck out of it or something. But I am not positive about you using it or not.
