I've had the mixture of carmol 20 and salycic acid for over a week now, and have found that its gone from its creamy soupy state to a very watery mixture. I dont understand why it has done this, is it because the pharmicist put it in a plastic container instead of putting it back in the tube? Or was i sposed to store it in the fridge? Do you think i should continue using the cream or would it be unsafe to do so. |

I mixed mine myself and it was very watery. I took JC's advise (he always has very informative posts) and I did keep in the refrigerater. There were a few times I forgot to put it back into the refrigerater and I left it out for several hours. There was one time I left it out until the next time I went to use (a day later) and I still used it. So I do not know if yours is not any good. JC said in one of his posts that you can check for unstability indicators like an ammonia smell or emulsion breakdown. If there is either I would discontinue using that tube and start over otherwise I would think it is ok. |
