Concerns about the word "cure"

Guys, I’m worried about something—a lot of people are using the word “cure”. This can be really misleading for someone just entering the boards – when we use that word, we are running the risk of creating hopes that won’t necessarily be met. Brynn’s Mom’s Formula does seem to have worked for many of you out there, and I think that that is great. But we NEED to remember that it isn’t the solution for everyone. There is no cure for KP. There is no one treatment that will work for every single afflicted person. Not every one here has severe KP. Not everyone here has mild kp. Some of you are fair skinned, while others are dark skinned. Some live in hot, tropical climates, while others in cold, dry ones. There are hundreds of characteristics that differentiate all of you. That is what is great about this forum. In this great big diverse world, this is a place where you can find people with SIMILAR (not the same) symptoms as you, people who live near you, or people who have gone through the same situations as yourselves. This forum is so you can talk, share, compare, and ask for and give advice-- but, please don’t feel like you have to switch your current treatment because another is more “in”. I absolutely love this site and all of you who participate here. My goal is to ensure that anyone and everyone can feel comfortable here, no-pressure added. Thank you all so much for cooperating, lots of love, Mel

Also, do not call it Brynn's mom's formula if you get the sal powder and get it mixed. It was given to her by Mass General Hospital. Some people also had a problem with it being called Brynn's mom's formula (not myself) but I am sure it was called that for simplicity and not every single post that gave the formula was able to put all the information about where it came from. I am not positive if Richard did come up with mixing it with wart remover if you could not locate the powder, or could not get a pharmacist to mix it for you. I could not locate the post before I wrote this to find out if he did or not. Maybe we should call it the Mass GH formula or something, I don't know. But until then, if someone happens to call it Brynn's mom's formula, I do wish people wouldn't get upset about it. If it doesn't have a licensed name, we don't know what to say it is. And should it be formula, solution, who knows. I just think some people blow things out of porportion. But I do agree that people need to say if they are fair skinned, where they are in the world, and type of skin-if known. But not everyone thinks of these things when they are so excited to share their news with the people on this board. My 2 cents.....
