Could someone tell me what Hydrocortisone does for KP?

I have been using Bynn's moms formula (Carmol 20 and the SA combo...I had to buy the liquid wart remover, though.) The bumps are going away, but the redness was still there. I THOUGHT maybe that's what the Hydrocortisone was for, but wasn't sure. Thank you so much for the info!

You should remember that because of salicylic acid's vasoconstrictive properties, it does have SOME ability to reduce redness and inflammation (in addition to its primary keratolytic effect). In my experience, the steroids work better than salicylic acid alone in reducing redness, but for some folks, sal acid might be enough.

I don't think the SA is enough for me because I'm very fare complected and the redness REALLY shows up. I've been using the Carmol 20/SA for a week now and the bumps are much better, but the redness was still there. Thank you so much for the info!
