Hi everyone, I have an incredibly embarassing condition called Rubra Faceii which I know some of you here have to. But I have Rubra Faceii and rough bumps of KP on my cheeks. It is such an embarassing condition which lowers my self -esteem terribly. I'm afraid to go out in Public without some one saying oh My you are flushed , our what a sunburn, then there's also He's blushing. even when my skin isn't irritated by something It akways has that redddish look to it. WHat I'm asking is please somebody I'm begging you please tekk me treatments/ creams/ diet . Anything that could make the redness fade Please! I'm feeling so low I need your help. I would be so grateful If you would respond to this please I need to find a cure or something . It's so hard to go on living your life in fear.

Hi Mark. I also have this condition. It can also be known as atrophoderma vermiculata and if the eyebrows are effected it is sometimes referred to as 'Ulerythema Ophryogenes'. I imagine you are in your teens or early 20's as this is when the condition is at it's worst. In my experience the redness started to subside in my thirties. Unfortunately I wasn't correctly diagnosed until recently so have not tried a lot of the 'treatments' mentioned for normal KP that appear. There is however a couple of treatments that appear in medical journal articles. The first is using 'Roaccutane' and the other shows results in the reduction of redness using pulse dyed lasers. I would reccomend that you use metrogel, the most popular and effective method of curing facial redness.You do need a prescription though, so you should see your dermatologist.
I don't reccomend using any Vitamin K products though.I used the facial redness product for over two months, and if anything, it merely aggravated the condition.
