products I've tried

I have KP on my upper arms. I previously tried 2% cortizone lotion and it only helped a little (and I messed up my skin by using it too much.) I also tried a product called Tend Skin which "outs ingrown hairs." I think it's just a salicyclic acid solution. [See <a href="http://www.tendskin.com">http://www.tendskin.com</a> It worked better than the cortizone but didn't completely fix the problem either. Also, I burned myself by using it too agressively.
So what actually has worked the best for me has been to use really oily body scrubs. I currently use Zia sugar body scrub (<a href="http://www.zianatural.com/store/cat-bodysupplements.html">http://www.zianatural.com/store/cat-bodysupplements.html</a> which I think it just salt and sugar in honey and oil. I scrub with it on my arms every day and it really makes a difference. Also, it's hard to overuse (unlike the cortizone or TendSkin.) I still have KP — one arm especially is less responsive than the other) but I'm not embarassed to wear short sleeves or tank tops anymore. It's been a big relief.
