I have kp on my arms and legs. I have had it my whole life. I do not eat junk food or oily food. I basically eat very bland/healthy food. I eat mostly fruit and vegtables. Any meat I eat is either baked or grilled and I usually only drink water or Propel water. I can not tell you the last time I had candy/cake/fried food etc. because it has been many many years at least 15. I guess I just never aquired a taste for unhealthy food. So at least with me I do not think it has anything to do with the food I eat.

Do you eat any milk products? I believe there is a correlation between milk products and KP. I have been trying an experiment with my daughter, age 10. She has had KP on her cheeks, arms, and legs for over 8 years. For the last 2 1/2 weeks she has given up all milk, cheese, yogurt,& ice cream and we have seen a tremendous improvement. There is no more redness to her skin and it is much less noticeable in many places. However, I don't know how much longer she can keep this up as she really wants pizza. Has anyone else out there tried giving up milk products?

Actually I drink a ton of milk. It never dawned on me that milk could cause a problem. My kp has gotten worse in the past few years and about 2-3 years ago is when I started drinking alot of milk. I would get very bad cramps (that time of the month) and my doctor told me I needed more calcium and to start drinking milk. Since I have been drinking it I have not even had one cramp. So of course since it worked I make sure I drink it several times a day. I never put the 2 together. Maybe that has something to do with why my kp has gotten worse.
