Ok... I have been using Retin A, LacHydrin, and a product called Elocon that my derm. prescribed for me 4 months ago and its been working really well! I use LacHydrin and elocon in the mornings and Retin A at night ( since Retin A should not be worn out in the sun). The bottom part of my arms are completely clear! The upper part of my arms are completely smooth, and a lot clearer but I can still see a little redness. But anyway, I would really suggest trying to get the stuff from a derm. because it really worked for me. The only thing is, u will have to wait at least 3 weeks to see some good results, but the results come quickly after that. Also, if u skip a day of treatment, the bumps come back quickly, so try not to forget!! Tell me if this has worked for you.

Yes, it does a great job of clearing the KP up, but you'll find that most dermatologists tell you that long term usage of topical cortisone treatments like Elocon can cause harmful effects (like thinning of the skin) if used for long term. Cortisone creams are usually for short term use to get something under control. Might want to check with your dermatologist about the possible side-effects of long term use of something like Elocon.
