You're not alone. I, too, went to 3 different pharmacies (I live in Portland, Ore). They said won't mix anything without a prescription, even though neither of the ingredients require a prescription. They told me it had nothing to do with the strength, but rather the fact they have to mix it. I'm not sure what to do now. I tried using wart remover instead of the sal. powder. It didn't come out right. I'm now trying Glytone's KP Kit until I find a pharmacy that will do my bidding. Good luck to you. |

If the pharmacist's only problem is actually mixing the ingredients for you....then....how about not asking him to MIX it, but asking him to SELL you the salycitic acid? He did say that is is not a prescription drug, right? (which you knew anyway.) (The carmol 20 cream you know you can buy online, and some drugstores carry it too.) Sandi |

TLA, I live in Portland, Ore., too. If you haven't tried Flanders Pharmacy (503)228-4119, you might call and speak to the pharmacist there. A dermatologist sent me there once, because she knew the pharmacist would compound a prescription for me. He might be willing to compound what you need without a prescription. Good luck! -Terri |
