Can too much moisturizing make it worse??

Well, as i'm reading all the symptons of KP they sound very familiar. The bumps the redness and everything, but then i read that you should moisturize ALOT and that could help, but it seems that everytime i moisturize my arms feel really geasy almost as if it was making the KP worse...does it??? Also, periodically, i get big pimple-like bumps in addition to the general KP, is that normal, sometimes they are filled with puss?? is this a different type of KP or is it just normal?? anyone know??? If ya do...please inform me, i'll be most thankful!!!
