KP on one side of my body / need shower tips

I KP on my left arm and on my right leg. I find this to be very strange. Does any one know why? Or does KP just have a mind of it's own? Also there are some posts below regarding shower tempatures. Some say use cold water and some say to use hot. I start my shower hot (to open my pores)and end it with cold (to close my pores). I know this is effective if you have acne. I am not sure if the same is true with KP. Does anyone know which is best, Cold, Hot or both. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
